Gait analysis and/or shoe advice

During rehabilitation, it can be decided to assess your movement pattern and possibly give you shoe advice. Shoes form the basis for good and safe movement. In addition, good footwear prevents injuries in the future.
About the gait analysis and/or shoe advice

During the gait analysis you move in front of a camera so that we can easily register and analyze the movements. Then follows a shoe advice.

More treatment options

In addition to the gait analysis and/or shoe advice, we also offer other treatment options if they benefit the effectiveness of the treatment. For an overview of these options.

Gait analysis and/or shoe advice

The gait analysis provides a good addition to the physical examination that the fysiotherapist performs with you during the intake.

By means of a camera and analysis program we visualize your running technique and position of feet, knees and hip/pelvis. Appropriate footwear can also be advised. See the step-by-step plan below.

The gait analysis and/or shoe advice is carried out before you resume your sport. Exercising with adequate footwear reduces the risk of injuries.

How does it work?

During the gait analysis, your old shoes will be assessed. You have to walk up and down in front of the camera a few times to film and analyze your walking pattern. You then walk barefoot in front of the camera several times and, if necessary, in corrected shoes to judge the difference. The gait pattern is then assessed frame by frame to determine whether there is compensation from the feet, knees and/or hip/pelvis and appropriate shoe advice can be given.
