It was a historic day for the Hague Rugby Club (HRC) – and for FysiopleinThis season HRC managed to win no less than two national titles: both the first team if it second team ('Futures') crowned themselves as Dutch champion. And we are proud that Fysioplein could be involved in this as a physiotherapy partner of the club.
HRC 1: Premier League Champion
On Sunday 9 June 2024, HRC 1 faced Rotterdam Rugby Club (RRC) in the final of the Ereklasse. In an exciting and intense match, HRC managed to win 37–34. The team fought back from behind and showed resilience, perseverance and team spirit. The victory meant the 15th national title for HRC 1, and the first since 2014.
HRC 2 ('Futures'): Future class champion
HRC 2 also made history. In the final of the Future class they defeated RSRC 32-23. With good teamwork, strong defense and decisive attacks the team managed to convincingly win. With that HRC 2 also ended the season as champions – a unique achievement within one club.
Double title – double celebration!
The double championship created a festive atmosphere at HRC. In addition to the performances of HRC 1 and 2, various youth teams also achieved successes. It shows how broad and strong the club is currently performing - and Fysioplein is proud to be part of this.
What did Fysioplein for HRC?
Last season took care of Fysioplein physiotherapy and sports guidance for both HRC 1 and HRC 2. We did this by:
- To be present at training sessions and competitions for physiotherapy guidance and first aid.
- Walk-in consultation hours at the club for all members.
- Customized treatments and rehabilitation in our practice.
- Injury prevention, running analysis and training advice within our Sports Performance Center.
- Close cooperation with trainers and staff for optimal recovery and performance improvement.
This combination of direct care and preventive guidance allowed the teams to remain in top shape and perform optimally.
