If you have broken your elbow it is very important to start as soon as possible fysiotherapy. Ask your treating doctor when you can start. The doctor determines when the elbow is "exercise stable."
During surgery, the fracture is stabilized to allow it to heal, whether or not in combination with plaster.
If this is not necessary, a period of plaster is often chosen to allow the fracture to heal. When the fracture has healed sufficiently and the arm is out of the cast, you can start with fysiotherapy.
Our primary concern is to improve elbow mobility. Next, we focus on the load capacity.
