Our approach

During the intake, the fysiotherapist together with you to the possible cause of the complaints. A recovery plan is then drawn up.

Treatments

The treatment is aimed at improving the load capacity of the knee so that you can eventually function again.

Everything about Knee complaints

Knee complaints have various causes. A good analysis of the problem is therefore essential before starting treatment. Fysioplein helps you by looking closely at the source of the complaints during the intake. We make the nature of the problem visible by means of various tests, such as a muscle strength test or ultrasound examination. We then adjust the therapy accordingly.

Fysioplein sees many knee complaints after surgery such as a new knee, anterior or posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, meniscus surgery and other medical procedures on the knee. Rehabilitation after such an operation requires a specialist approach to ensure a good recovery.

In addition, we also treat many knee complaints without surgery. If you have had a (sports) trauma and you have problems with your knee (thick knee), it is advisable to have the knee examined by one of our fysiotherapists. A treatment plan will then be drawn up in consultation with you. A quick assessment is also necessary for muscle/tendon complaints around the knee so that the condition does not become chronic.

Muscle and tendon complaints around the knee are common. These complaints require a different approach than rehabilitation after surgery. This will be explained during the intake.

We have developed a number of knee care plans especially for people with knee complaints. The knee care plan is a personal treatment plan, in which your treatment process is precisely tailored to your complaints. After performing a number of tests and completing a questionnaire, it is determined which knee care plan is most suitable for you. Fysioplein has test and measuring instruments to map out the effects of your treatment.

Gait analysis and/or shoe advice

During the gait analysis, your old shoes will be assessed. You have to walk up and down in front of the camera a few times to film and analyze your walking pattern. You then walk barefoot in front of the camera several times and, if necessary, in corrected shoes to judge the difference. The gait pattern is then assessed frame by frame to determine whether there is compensation from the feet, knees and/or hip/pelvis and appropriate shoe advice can be given.
