Sports club physio

Fysioplein is the specialist in the region of The Hague, Delft and Rotterdam for sports injuries, orthopedic, traumatological and spine-related complaints. We are ready to work with you on your recovery.

What is sports club physiotherapy?

Sportclubfysio is a service we offer to sports clubs, where the health of the athlete is paramount. We currently offer the Clubsupport concept to the Haagsche Rugby Club (HRC) in The Hague and the Wippolder football club in Delft.

We support the selection teams and hold free consultation hours at the association to which all members are welcome. Club support aims to keep athletes physically fit and is above all aimed at preventing injuries.

What is the advantage of Club support

We offer a total package to sports clubs in which the health of the athlete is paramount. The main goal is the prevention of injuries. For this we use the Athletic Skills Model, a model that simultaneously stimulates talent development. In addition, we offer a free sports consultation hour at the club where all members are welcome with questions about or problems with their injury. In addition, we can set up a health page on the site of the sports club with information about injuries. If desired, we provide training for trainers and coaches to prevent sports injuries and how to deal with injuries at the club. If a player does get injured, it can be assessed within 24 hours at one of our locations, after which recovery can begin.

Athletic Skills Model (ASM)

The ASM is a practical and scientifically based model for talent development for top sport, but is also used for grassroots sport, unorganized sport and physical education and healthcare. The ASM model focuses on optimal motor development by using the disc of 10! which consists of ten basic forms of movement. An early one-sided load increases the risk of injuries, overload and failure. For healthy and high-quality physical development, it is good to develop as many different basic skills as possible within sports, forms of exercise and activities.   Fysioplein also uses the ASM model to help athletes and children move better, improve performance and prevent injuries.
